What is it like to be you?

We live then we die. There’s a ripple and then it’s gone. I am consumed by the space between our mortality and the infinite. I’ve been undone by the madness of knowing there is more to this world than can possibly ever be worked out and far less, I fear, than will ever suffice. I have also been steadied - by the compassion of others, dark humor, metaphor and caprice. I create mixed media compositions and immersive installations within contextual narratives. I also have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with significant bodies of work in clinical practice and research, and a focus on creating collaborative communities across disciplines and sectors to facilitate knowledge sharing, new artistic expressions and new knowledge formation.

Every line, given a half-twist, surrenders its orientation and bends reality into a matrix of probabilities. Utilizing natural and inorganic materials I blend what has been cast off - the rubble of everyday life - with unspoken dreams, to create new contexts that explore the aberrant beauty in our sense of reality - the collision of what is and what might be.

How can you measure whether an idea is good or bad?

I guess that depends on the context but in general, an idea is good when it achieves the defined objective with impartial benevolence, in a parsimonious and reliable manner, after iterative evaluation. Of course, the proof is in the implementation of the idea...
