Wenn du dich auf unsicherem Terrain befindest, brauchst du Leitlinien (es gibt ohnehin keine genauen Pläne). Und wenn man auf unsicherem Terrain etwas zum Besseren verändern will, braucht man sogar transformative Leitlinien.
Genau aus diesem Grund wurde das Guidebook for Century 21 ins Leben gerufen. Als Inspiration für diejenigen, die das Spiel verändern wollen. Aber natürlich wurden auch wir inspiriert. Keine Idee ist wirklich neu. Unsere Inspirationsquelle war Douglas Adams. Dieser Reiseführer ist eine Hommage an „The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy“, der bis heute unübertroffen ist.
Leitlinien für die Transformation: Wie man einen nachhaltigen Wandel herbeiführt
Mehr als 40 Jahre nach seiner Erstveröffentlichung ist „The Hitchhiker’s Guide“ ein Klassiker der Science-Fiction-Literatur. Wir Hitchhiker-Fans erfreuen uns immer noch an den witzigen Figuren, den absurden Plots und den subtilen Lektionen, die das kulturelle Erbe fortbestehen lassen. Der Leitfaden erinnert uns immer wieder behutsam an unsere menschlichen Schwächen und daran, dass das Leben trotz aller Herausforderungen doch nicht ganz so ernst zu nehmen ist.
Der Guide fragt uns, ob es wirklich sinnvoll ist, nach dem Sinn des Lebens zu suchen. So wie der Supercomputer Deep Thought, der nach vielen Berechnungen die Antwort auf die Frage aller Fragen ausspuckt, ohne die eigentliche Frage verstanden zu haben. Für uns Shiftshaper steht die Zahl 42 als Symbol für die Absurditäten, die wir Menschen jeden Tag anstellen. 42 ist die Erinnerung daran, dass wir endlich aufhören sollten, für jedes Problem eine Lösung zu suchen. Stattdessen sollten wir uns auf die Suche nach den wichtigen Fragen machen. Wieder und wieder.
